Christopher Young Duby is an associate with the firm. His practice focuses on criminal defense, motor vehicle offenses, appellate law and personal injury. He works closely with Attorney Richard Meehan on the evaluation, investigation and prosecution of the firmís medical, dental and legal malpractice claims.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Duby worked as a full-time municipal employee, and attended the Quinnipiac University School of Law in the evenings, completing the four-year curriculum in three years and receiving a Distinguished Academic Achievement Award. He was a member of the schoolís 2003 National Appellate Advocacy Competition team, the Moot Court Honor Society and the Criminal Law Society.Ý
Mr. Duby was a member of the editorial board of the Quinnipiac Health Law Journal and was also Exchequer of the Burns Inn of Phi Delta Phi, the Law Schoolís honors fraternity.Ý
He authored a law review article for the Health Law Journal concerning possible criminal liability of certain health care providers.Ý
Mr. Duby is a member of the National Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the New Haven County Bar Association, the Hartford County Bar Association and the Bridgeport Bar Association.Ý
While not practicing law, Chris spends time with his wife, son and daughter. A practicing musician, he also lists reading, baseball, golf and weightlifting as his hobbies. He is active in local government, as he is a member of the North Haven Board of Ethics and has served on numerous charitable Boards of Directors.
